Tierra Monet

Hi there!

My name is Tierra Monet and writing has been a passion of mine since I was young. I also have a passion for mental illness, as it has effected my family & I in many intense ways.

I grew up in an emergency foster home so I have seen a lot of different circumstances children have been forced into. With this knowledge and experience I possess from my life I hope to bring some positivity from it. I know that it can be incredibly hard being a child with mental illness. Or even being a parent of one with mental illness. It is taxing, exhausting, confusing and frustrating. But there is always love.

I have written Monae & Her Marvelous Dog Mousse as a way to bring awareness to some tough mental health subjects in a more digestible manner. I know as a parent & as a once child with mental health issues how frustrating it can be to have little or no communication when suffering. I hope that this series will open the door to these topics that are in desperate need of being heard. 

If you want to help your child grow to be fully well-rounded, emotionally educated, confident person than I believe this is a good place to start! Monae & Her Marvelous Dog Mousse is written through the eyes of Mousse the service dog. He enjoys teaching and is happy to educate anyone willing to listen!
